Organisations that produce agricultural information often have to satisfy very diverse needs of many categories of users. With limited resources to produce and diffuse this information, they are forced to make choices. The methodology for the determination of priority information themes (PIT) was developed to help them set priorities.
The methodology has been validated, adopted and implemented by a wide range of users in various situations. CTA is making the PIT methodology more widely and systematically available by repackaging the material:
The CD-ROM and the Web-based versions allow learners to go through the PIT methodology independently at their own speeds in the office or even at home.
The style of presentation in a story format encourages empathy of the learner with the practical environment for the use of the methodology and stimulates interest and enhances comprehension.
This training module has been developed by the ICM Skills and Systems Department (ISSD) of CTA with the assistance of DigitalOrange and Rua Design.
The testing and validation of the product were made possible by the active participation and the constructive input of CTA collaborators from various institutions in all the regions of the ACP.
CTA wishes to express its deep gratitude to all the individuals and institutions through whose dedicated contribution, this project on the PIT training modules has been brought to a successful completion.
